Bishop Frederick Barr opened a modest Little Hot Dog Stand in Nashville to raise funds for his church’s homeless ministry. He decided to sell food to help feed the hungry.
The nightlife in Downtown Nashville is vibrant and thousands of people enjoy the city each weekend. The Little Hot Dog Stand gained popularity with the offer of:
“$2 dollar Hot Dog and $1 dollar Water”
As the business establishment saw the growing success of The Little Hot Dog Stand in Downtown Nashville, the merchants retaliated with a price point war. Bishop Barr, inspired by his mission to feed the hungry fought back with his God-Given talent to inspire and motivate through the gift of music. He set the phrase to music “$2 dollar Hot Dog $1 dollar Water”
From there, the rest is history. Crowds lined up! The song was born and is now a viral on-line phenomenon. Bishop Barr along with his wife, partner and Co-Pastor , Dr. Erica Barr continues to grow the “$2dollar Hot Dog $1dollar water” brand through downloads, merchandise and sponsorships. The original and ultimate goal of The Little Hot Dog Stand in Nashville remains to put food into hungry mouths. Join the vision and sing the song!
